Honda Cars India introduces new grades in Mobilio line-up

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, introduced two new grades of Honda Mobilio Car V(O) & RS(O) featuring first in segment Audio Video Navigation (AVN) and Rear View Parking Camera. The newly introduced V(O) grade will be positioned on top of the existing E, S and V grade in both Petrol & Diesel. The exclusive sporty RS (Diesel) variant of the Mobilio will have an additional RS (O) grade featuring the AVN and Rear Parking camera. The availability of the RS and RS(O) will begin from mid-September 2014.

Honda Mobilio’s Audio Video Navigation system features a large 15.7 cm Touch Screen loaded with maps, satellite-based voice guided navigation, and complete in-car entertainment and connectivity features (DVD/CD, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, i-POD, MP3, FM/AM) that make the user’s travel safe, convenient, smart and fun. The system comes with an integrated Bluetooth communication function that lets the user sync their phone with it and implement functions on screen including dialing, answering, history, address book and Bluetooth music play.

How To Boost Your Vehicle’s Performance

Our mentality always tends to expect maximum output from minimum input. We often come across queries of how to boost up vehicle performance? MY Vehicle is Not Performing? and all. Hence we thought of giving you some tips to clear out the air by sharing our thoughts. The most common myth is that vehicle performance increases by tweaking up of engine and by Car Servicing; which is an absolute wrong thought. Agreed that vehicle performance is mainly because of engine and transmission but there are other things which also contribute significantly. We will suggest you various methods of increasing your vehicle’s performance and it’s you choice to choose the one which fits into your budget. This information can be used both two and four wheelers Users.

Engine – It’s well known that engine is the heart of any automobile. What kind of boosting can be done on an engine?

• Performance Air Filter – The most common way of increasing the performance of the vehicle. The greater pore size will allow more airflow into the engine which enhances combustion; hence better output.

• Performance Exhaust System – Exhaust systems also play crucial role during the power delivery. A smooth free flow exhaust system ensures that performance increases.

• ECU Tuning – This one is applicable only for vehicles with an ECU. Aftermarket performance ECU’s yield superior performance from the vehicle.

• Higher valve lift via camshaft – Now this needs some special skills to work on. Design and machining of camshaft is difficult but if done properly, performance increases comprehensively. This should be done by people with good knowledge.

• Ram Air Intake – Now this one is a little tricky but it can be done by using some basic engineering. Increasing the pressure in the inlet manifold using the dynamic behaviour of the vehicle.

Tyre and Tyre Related – Performance can be rated both on speed, acceleration as well as handling.

• For better handling make sure that one chooses a better tyre size, profile and thread before selecting one. In the market one would get plenty of options but the ultimate choice will lay with the customer and his/her requirements.

• For bikes – Top speed of a bike can be increased if one changes the sprocket ratio. One can get aftermarket sprocket set which comes with a chain too. Smaller sprocket will increase top speed but the torque will be compromised.

Myth Of Increasing Performance -

• Higher Octane/Cetane number fuel will not boost the vehicle’s performance until and unless the engine is running on high compression.

• Cold Air Intake System – Cold air intake system improves the performance of a vehicle but it is barely noticeable. The reason for that, the drop in temperature of air after the usage of cold air intake system is small which hardly boosts up any performance.

Honda Mobilio Car Sports RS variant

With the Launch of Honda Mobilio in Indian Market. It has Become the Best 7 Seater Car in India. Honda Mobilio is Now also available in the RS variant. Honda Mobilio RS Variant gets a sportier look with aggressively styled front and rear bumpers, larger air dams, a new, sportier chrome grille, new headlights with High Intensity Discharge (HID) projector lights and LED accents, black-and-chrome 15-inch alloy wheels, chrome exhausts and a spoiler at the back.

On the inside, the car comes with a bit more equipment than the standard trims. This includes a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a reversing camera and a pair of tweeters to add to the audio system's speaker count. There's also faux wood trim on the dashboard, which does at least give it a little bit more character than the two-tone Brio-sourced standard version. Of course, expect to pay a bit of a premium for the Honda Mobilio RS on top of the 'regular' top-spec versions.

The Honda Mobilio MPV will be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines that are used in the Honda City sedan. Both engines will be mated to manual gearboxes as standard, while a CVT automatic gearbox could also be on the cards for the petrol variant.

The Mobilio comes across as a less boxy design. Its squat stance belies the fact that it has class-leading ground clearance. The face has the typical Honda family look as it is 7 Seater MPV Car. The Mobilio sits on the same platform as the Brio and Amaze, but it has an extended wheelbase. The roof tapers slightly towards the end. But, a blacked-out D-pillar gives it a sort of sedan look, making it appear less bulky. The rear window sill has a dip, which gives it a bigger glass area. The Honda Mobilio looks best from the rear, with the hatch having a nice sophisticated look.

Honda Cars India Ltd. 40% sales growth in July 2014

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, recorded a monthly domestic sales of 15,709 units in July 2014 registering a growth of 40%. The company sold 11,223 units in the corresponding month last year.

The company sold 56,427 units from April – July'14 as against 40,350 units sold during the same period last year, marking a growth of 40%.

Expressing delight on the company's performance Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing &Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, "We are extremely happy with the progress we have made in this year. Our recently launched Honda Mobilio has received good response from the market with over 10,000 bookings since its launch and are confident that it will attract more customers with its strong desirable values. We would also like extend our gratitude to the customers for the continuing success of Honda Amaze and All new City and are confident that we will continue to do well in respective segments."

HCIL also exported a total volume of 858 units during July 2014.
