Honda hikes prices of Brio, Amaze marginally

Honda Cars India has hiked prices of its entry level car Brio and compact sedan Amaze by up to Rs 800 to offset change in cost structure following tax rationalization in the Budget.

Brio prices have been hiked by Rs 600 while those of petrol and diesel variants of Amaze have been enhanced by Rs 800 with effect from April first week.

After the hike, Brio is priced between Rs 4.21 lakh and Rs 6.79 lakh, while Amaze is priced at Rs 5.18 lakh and Rs 8.21 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Car Care Tips for Summer

Summer can be tough on cars, especially during high temperatures when heat can destroy batteries and stress the cooling system and tires.

So to make sure your car’s health doesn’t deteriorate in the coming months when the sun becomes a bit too bright and hot, here are a few simple tips to keep in mind:

• Servicing, Manufacturer

First things first, even if your vehicle’s running without any issues, like it always should, don’t bother skipping its scheduled service. There are some reasons behind this why you should not skip scheduled services. Not only check-up by a technician ensure that the car’s fluids – engine oil, gearbox oil, brake fluids, coolant, etc. – are working properly, but it also means that the vehicle is checked for its normal behavior, too.

And let’s not forget, that it’s not just the external cleaning that the car service center guys take care of. The engine needs cleaning as well, which is needed for the vehicle’s well being.

Most car manufacturers also organise service camps to enable free car check-ups, regular servicing, and various other promotions during summer, winters and rainy seasons. This are also known as Seasonal Service Camps. It's best to take benefits of these services provide by your manufacturer.

Oil and air filters need to be replaced at certain intervals, which is also taken care of by the service center.

Honda Cars India introduces new VX(O) grade in Honda City with Advanced Integrated AVN

Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, today announced the introduction of the new VX(O) grade in the Honda City range. The new grade is positioned over the existing VX grade in Manual Transmission in both petrol & diesel and features an Advanced Integrated Touchscreen Audio Visual Navigation (AVN). The company has also added a new premium colour - White Orchid Pearl in the City line-up.

The newly introduced Touchscreen Audio Visual Navigation system in the Honda City features a large 15.7 cm Touchscreen which would have satellite-based voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation, and complete in-car entertainment, convenience and connectivity features (DVD/CD Playback, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, i-POD, MP3, FM/ AM, Rear Camera Display with Guidelines). Fourth generation Honda City achieves 1 lakh sales mark

Honda Cars India's flagship mid-sized sedan City has achieved one lakh sales mark in just 15 months after its launch in January 2014. 

With a strong sales momentum throughout the year, Honda City registered 1,01,299 units of cumulative sales since its launch in January 2014, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) said in a statement.

"This is a very proud moment for us. City brand has been the face of Honda in India, enjoying strong leadership and popularity in its segment ever since its launch," HCIL Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Jnaneswar Sen said.

- Records Annual Growth of 41% with 189,062 units in FY 2014 - 15

- 4th Generation Honda City crosses 100,000 cumulative sales 
Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, registered its highest ever monthly domestic sales of 22,696 units during March 2015 and registered a growth of over 23% as compared to 18,426 units in March 2014.  

Driven by strong sales momentum for its cars throughout the year, the company posted itshighest ever annual domestic sales of 189,062 units during FY 2014 – 15 recording 41% growth over last financial year. The company had sold 1,34,339 units during FY 2013 – 14.

Honda Becomes 3rd Largest Carmaker in March 2015; Overtakes Mahindra & Mahindra

Honda Cars India continued to do well in the last month of the financial year 2014-15 by recording an impressive 23 per cent growth. In fact, the company achieved its highest ever domestic monthly sales in March 2015 at 22,696 units, displacing Mahindra & Mahindra from the third place in the Indian passenger car market. M&M managed to sell 21,030 units in the month. HCIL also registered its highest ever annual domestic sales in FY 2014-15 at 1,89,062 units, up by 41 per cent. 

The cars that helped the company do well the entire year were Honda Amaze and City. In March 2015 alone, the company sold 9,777 units of city and 8,128 units of Amaze. The Brio and Mobilio managed to sell 1,642 and 3,049 units respectively. The new-generation Honda City proved to be exceptionally successful product by selling over 1 lakh units in just months of its launch.
